Thousands die on Kenya's roads

Audio 02:47

About 2,000 people have already died this year in road accidents in Kenya. This is more than the number who died during the country’s 2008 post-election violence. The annual average number of people who die from road accidents is even higher at 3,000. This sorry state of affairs has prompted Kenya’s private sector to initiate action they hope will restore safety on Kenya’s roads.
