South Sudan lobbyists in the United States

A little-known band of activists has been lobbying for South Sudan in the US for decades. It calls itself "The Council". While it may be small, it has shaped US foreign policy to Africa, ensuring Washington supports the independence of South Sudan. The seven-member Council includes Ted Dagne, an Ethiopian who arrived in the US as a teenage refugee and later worked for Congress on foreign policy issues. RFI spoke to him in Washington.
