Togolese voters went to the polls Thursday in parliamentary elections that have been delayed since October last year. There were reports of delays and technical problems at several polling stations. The country's president Faure Gnassingbé has previously won elections in 2005 and 2010. He took over from his father Gnassingbé Eyadéma, who ruled from 1967 until his death in 2005. Jean-Claude Codjo of the National Alliance for Change party and Let's Save Togo coalition spent yesterday touring polling stations with the ANC's leader Jean-Pierre Fabre.
