Are Kenyan Muslims getting radical?

Last Sunday Kenyan police fought running battles with Muslim youths in the northern city of Mombasa, leaving casualties among the police and the youth. Why are many Muslims becoming radicalised in a country that had never experienced it until a few years ago?
