French police evacuated a makeshift refugee camp in Paris this week. Some 400 African migrants were living in squalid conditions underneath the train tracks of a Paris metro station. The authorities said they wanted to displace these migrants, most of whom come from Sudan and Eritrea, for fear of an epidemic. RFI visited the camp the day before it was evacuated.
