Putin claims Islamism spreading to Tatarstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin is warning against extremism in his country, as evidence emerges of the spread of radical Islam. Muslim insurgents have waged a long battle in the impoverished Caucasus region in Russia's south. But now there's evidence of a rise in radicalism in the relatively prosperous region of Tatarstan where Muslims make up more than a third of the population.
