Indo-Arab flashdance warms up audience at Cannes beach cinema
Issued on: Modified:
The Cannes Film Festival is about more than the prizes, or the stars on the red carpet in designer evening wear and jewellery. Its really for film lovers and not just the professionals. One event every evening at sundown is the Cinéma de la Plage (Beach Cinema). Until Sunday night, those screenings were washed out by rain storms but last night the beach films went ahead. Before the screening was a flash dance performance to Indo-Arab fusion music, organized by Amanda Palmer and her cross-cultural entertainment company, Mandi.
