Fabulous news! We have a shortwave frequency again! It’s 13725 kHz on the 22m band, and you can hear us between 6.00 and 7.00 UT every day. We’ve had reception reports from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Bangladesh, India, the UK, the US, Peru, and the United Arab Emirates, and although the frequency is “aimed” (or however that works) towards the African continent, give it a try. You never know …

For those of you observing Ramadan: send photos of your fast-breaking meals to thesoundkitchen@rfi.fr I would like to make a photo-collage of Ramadan meals from around the world for our FaceBook pages. Thanks to Jahangir Alam Manto and Fatima Harkou for the inspiration.

This week’s quiz: On 30 May, I asked you a question about the Cannes Film Festival, which had just wrapped up. France was a big winner, carrying off three out of the top seven honors. I asked you to send in the names of the three categories in which France won prizes this year at Cannes.

The answer is:  The Palme d’Or, Best Actor, and Best Actress. The Palme d’Or – the festival’s highest honor - went to Jacques Audiard, for his film “Dheepan”. Vincent Lindon was awarded Best Actor for his performance in the film “Le Loi du Marché” ( “The Measure of Man” ), and Emmanuelle Bercot – who shared the Best Actress prize with Rooney Mara - won for her performance in the film “Mon Roi” ( “My King” ). Congratulations France!

The winners this week are: RFI Listeners Club member Supriyo Sarkar from Murshidabad, India; Raihan Ali from Nilphamari, Bangladesh; Mohammad Akhsan from Dhaka, Bangladesh; Samia Arshad,  a member of the Pak France International Listener's Club in Sahiwal, Pakistan, and Rebeca Romero Gonzalez from the Club RFI - Cuba in Holguín, Cuba.

Congratulations, winners!
