This week’s quiz: On 8  June, singer/songwriter Chrystelle Nammour was co-chef in The Sound Kitchen. Many of you know Chrystelle from our Listener Relations department. She just came back to RFI after a year off to tour with a musical adaptation of the life of Jesus of Nazareth – in which she played Mary Magdalene - and to record two singles of music she wrote.

Chrystelle talked a bit about her life on that show … she told us how and when she started singing and writing songs. That was one question: you were to write in with her age when she wrote her very first song.

You were also to tell me the names of her two new singles, the songs she most recently recorded.

The answers are: Chrystelle Nammour was 15 years old when she wrote her first song. The names of her two most recent singles – the songs she published while she was away from RFI - are “On reprend là” (“We’ll go on from here”) and “Un par un” (“One by one”).

The winners this week are: Two RFI Listeners Club members from India! There’s T Elampooranan from Chennai and Subha Biswas from Murshidabad. Also from Murshidabad, there’s Umme Kulsom Khatun – a member of the Students Oriental Radio Club – and Sharif Deen from Rajasthan. Last but not least, Dia Zanib from the Sungat Radio Listeners Club in Muzaffargarh, Pakistan.

Congratulations winners!

Here’s the music you heard on this week’s program: “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, composed by  Dennis McCarthy; “Cuando Uno Crece” written by Roberto Fonseca and performed by Fonseca on the piano with the Fonseca Ensemble; “The Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and the “Can Can” from Jacques Offenbach’s operetta Orpheus in the Underworld.
