This week’s quiz: On 26 October, I asked you a question about a recently retired French diplomat, who was interviewed by Alison Hird on the Spotlight on France podcast number 20. This diplomat, whose final posting was to the U-S, was nicknamed the “Tweeting Diplomat”, and he had just published a book about his life in diplomacy. You were to write in with his name and the name of his book.

The answer is: Gérard Araud is the name of that “Tweeting Diplomat”, and the title of his book is “Passeport diplomatique: 40 ans au Quai d’Orsay”, or “Diplomatic passport: 40 years at the Quai d’Orsay” – the French Foreign Ministry is on the Quai d’Orsay.

The winners are: Uzma Khan, a member of the Naz RFI & Internet Club in Faisal Abad, Pakistan, and RFI Listeners Club members Helmut Matt from Herbolzheim, Germany; Samir Mukhopadhyay from Kolkata, India, and Jayanta Chakrabarty from New Delhi, India. Last but not least: Salahuddin Ibrahim from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Congratulations winners!
