French-Algerian thriller accused of anti-French stance

French-Algerian film "Outside the law" hits the silver screen on Wednesday amid a controversy of its alleged anti-French stance. The film opens on the Setif massacre of thousands of Algerians by the French army in 1945. While works of fiction and films have broken the taboo surrounding the Algerian war of independence, the bloody battle remains a sensitive topic in France.
