Foreign graduates fight to stay in France
Issued on: Modified:
Thousands of foreign graduates from France’s elite universities and business schools are struggling to stay and work in the country, even when they’ve been offered a job. As part of the drive to reduce immigration, the minister of the Interior, Claude Guéant, issued a memo on May 31st this year limiting the number of work permits issued to non-EU graduates. Both French and foreign students have now joined forces to get the memo withdrawn.
