What the Burkini row says about France's attitude towards religion

Burkini might be a simple word, but it was on everybody’s lips in France during the month of August. The body-covering swimsuit became the subject of a huge controversy that had France - and its politicians - arguing for weeks, especially after the mayor of Cannes decided to ban it from its beaches, citing security concerns. Almost 30 other cities followed suit.In this week Spotlight on France, RFI's Fabien Jannic-Cherbonnel explores the controversy surrounding the Burkini and France's attitude towards religion.
