In keeping with all the protests around the globe, we get another snapshot from the Milipol "homeland security and safety" salon that took place outside of Paris last week where various stands were displaying the latest innovations in so-called "crowd control technology" and techniques.

We have all the latest the sports news with Paul Myers

On our cultural agenda, we get the latest from the Cairo International Film Festival where we speak to Egyptian-born Canadian director Atom Egoyan about his latest movie 'Guest of Honour'.

Not to mention our monthly rendez-vous with the Africa Report magazine where we discuss China-backed tech innovation in Nigeria.... and Angola; how people feel two-years into the country's new presidency.
