Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga jailed

In its first-ever ruling, the International Criminal Court has jailed the fomer Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga for 14 years for using child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the court's former chief prosecutor, had asked for a "severe sentence" of 30 years. Alison Smith, a legal counsel with the international NGO No Peace Without Justice, comments.
