Dutch-Rwandan citizen on trial in The Hague

A Dutch prosecutor has asked for a Dutch-Rwandan citizen to be sentenced to life in connection with the genocide in Rwanda. Yvonne Basebya who has been on trial in a district court in The Hague has pleaded not guilty. The defense is expected to present its closing arguments next week. Academic Thijs Bouwknegt has been following the case.
