Issued on:

One of the longest prisoner hunger strikes continues at the US's prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The US military says that guards fired non-lethal shots to quell unrest on Saturday when prisoners resisted being put in solitary confinement. Clive Stafford Smith, a British lawyer who represents a number of the detainees at Guantanamo, says some of the prisoners have gone without food for two months.
