The Chilean diaspora have been marking the 40th anniversary of the military coup that ushered in almost two decades of dictatorship – before the plebiscite in 1988 that started the transition towards democracy. In London, a theatre has been putting on a series of works by young Chilean playwrights, translated into English, many of them still influenced by this dark period in the country's history.
