Opener Shikhar Dhawan's maiden Twenty20 half century helped India beat Sri Lanka by 69 runs in the second international in Pune on Friday.

Put into bat, Dhawan's 25-ball 51 enabled India to post a challenging 196 for five.

Sri Lankan medium-pacer Thisara Perera took a hat-trick but his team's batsmen failed to fire and only made 127 for nine in their 20 overs.
