Spain's acting Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy on Thursday said his country would "most likely" hold new elections on June 26 following weeks of political deadlock.

Rajoy said "the most likely thing is that there will be elections on June 26," according to a conversation journalists overheard him having with British Prime Minister David Cameron at an EU summit in Brussels.
