Toxic fumes released when the Islamic State group bombed a sulphur plant near Mosul earlier this week have killed at least two civilians, a general said on Saturday.

"Daesh blew up the sulphur plant two days ago and that has led to the deaths of two people among the civilians in nearby villages," Qusay Hamid Kadhem told AFP.
