Burban extends Stade Francais stay

France international flanker Antoine Burban has extended his contract with struggling Top 14 side Stade Francais until June 2019, the French club said Tuesday.

The 29-year-old, capped four times for France, arrived in Paris in 2006 and his contract was due to expire next June.

The two-year extension with an option for a third comes after the announcement that Raphael Lakafia and Geoffrey Doumayrou are set to join Toulon and La Rochelle respectively, with Rabah Slimani committed to Clermont.

Wing Julien Arias, 33, and South African centre Meyer Bosman, 31, whose contracts also expire in June, have likewise extended for two seasons.

Stade Francais, 14-times French champions and most recently in 2015, are currently languishing third from bottom of the Top 14.
