The Sound Kitchen takes a mid-winter break
Issued on: Modified:
Susan Owensby is out shopping for fresh ingredients for the 2012 Sound Kitchen, as the show takes a mid-winter break.
Won’t you help me with some Sound Kitchen shopping? You can send the perfect ingredients … your essays! Sit down and write up an essay for us all …
Tell us about your most memorable moment, or about your unsung hero – who in your community is doing good things, and trying to make the world a better place? Spend some quiet time reflecting on what you believe … what are the principles that guide your life? What have you found to be true from your very own personal experience?
Write it down … the “This I Believe” essay contest is going strong! Send in your mini book reviews, your musical requests, your secret “guilty” pleasure (mine’s chocolate!), your tricks for remembering things, your favourite quotations and proverbs … describe your local festivals, or your radio club’s activities … or whatever you happen to be thinking about and want to share.
The Sound Kitchen is only fun if you are a part of it. Be sure to include a phone number where I can reach you, so you can share your thoughts with other Sound Kitchen listeners around the world.
