For the past five years, a Gaza family has lived in a sand-made home designed by engineer Emad Alkhaldi, who is specialised in alternative construction. Their home is among four others designed by Alkhaldi. As reconstruction of war-torn Gaza is yet to start in the territory, Alkhaldi hopes to construct more homes in Gaza to help accommodate thousands of displaced residents.
