Global warming: French vineyards look to new grape varieties

France, which is preparing to host the UN Climate Conference is not immune to global warming. Wine, the country's second-biggest export, is sensitive to rising temperatures. Recent hot summers have yielded extraordinary wines. But winemakers do not expect this to last. They are anticipating more frequent extreme heat events that would put too much stress on their grape vines.
