Earlier this week one hundred Romany families were evicted from a makeshift camp in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. Despite living in the area for almost 10 years, the families were refused help and emergency housing by the French authorities. Instead they found other places to camp but once again met resistance from the authorities.
