Cypriots still face economic difficulties in worst crisis since 1974

In the wake of a eurozone bailout that imposes strict capital controls, the people of Cyprus face shortages of food and medicine in the coming weeks and businesses are still struggling with a lack of cash. Fiona Mullan, an economist from the island of Cyprus, says this is the most serious crisis since the island’s invasion by Turkey in 1974.
