Second-hand trade takes off in France

The number of shops paying cash for second-hand goods is exploding in France. Cash Express, the largest chain, grew by more than 23 per cent last year and opened 14 new shops. The concept attracts both well-off consumers wanting to get rid of outdated goods but also, and increasingly, victims of the economic crisis.
