Socialists and Green allies under strain

France goes to the polls on Sunday to vote in the second round of parliamentary elections. In last Sunday's first round, the Socialists and their Green allies won 40 per cent of the vote. Last year, the Green party coalition Europe-Ecology - Les Verts struck an election alliance with the Socialists. But in some regions, like Cergy near Paris, the deal has created tensions.
