Visitors to the French capital may have felt transported into the past on Sunday, when some 700 antique vehicles from the 1950s, 60s and 70s passed by the city's famous landmarks during the sixth annual summer Traversée de Paris (literally, the Crossing of Paris). After fourteen years of holding a similar event in winter, the organisers hope to create a national heritage day dedicated to their collectors' items and the nostalgia they bring.
