France begins its three-day festival of gastronomy today, designed to boost a taste for good food and conviviality around the table. But one of the strongest culinary trends is actually fast food, especially for city workers increasingly pushed for time. After sushi bars, soup bars, tex-mex and burger bars, a British fish and chip shop, the recently opened Sunken Chip restaurant, is pulling in hordes of hungry Parisians.
