France is renowned for having some of the best chefs and culinary traditions in the world. But that reputation has taken a hit lately after nearly a third of French restaurants admitted to serving reheated frozen meals. A group of young chefs is trying to rejuvenate Paris’s food scene by creating spontaneous, pop-up restaurants where diners can sample the best of the country’s produce. RFI went along for a taste.
