French interior minister Cazeneuve promises heated tents for Calais migrant camp

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has made his seventh trip this year to a migrant camp in the town of Calais in northern France. The camp known as the "Jungle" has doubled in size in the last month and 6,000 migrants are now living there.
During his visit on Wednesday Cazeneuve announced plans to increase onsite security and to provide heated tents for women and children.
Increasing numbers of migrants are giving up on the idea of going to Britain and instead are claiming asylum in France, he said.
More than 800 French celebrities have signed a petition calling on the government to improve living conditions at the camp.
