Today's edition of Paris Live begins with an update on the tense situation in Colombia, where the President Ivan Duque is set to hold crisis talks with protesters, after five days of deadly demonstrations. 


We also hear why students in France are demonstrating, amid new figures which suggest an alarming rate of poverty among young people.

In African news, we learn about a helicopter crash in Mali in which 13 French soldiers were killed, we hear about the growing concern of a Lassa fever outbreak in Sierra Leone, and how Ghana is preparing to launch its digital revolution.

On the culture front, we hear from film director Raed Al Semari from Saudi Arabia, whose film Dunya is in the running for a prize at the Cairo International Film Festival.
