Assad regime rejects talks with Syrian National Coalition

Syrian opposition chief Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib's offer of talks with officials of President Bashar al Assad's regime has been flatly rejected by Damascus. Khatib attached conditions to possible talks, including the release of 160,000 detainees and permission for exiled Syrians should be able to renew their passports abroad.
