Rwanda's national under-17 football team made a big impression at January's Cup of African Nations, CAN, reaching the final. That result allowed the Rwandans to qualify for July's Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Mexico. The Junior Wasps, as they are known, wound up a five-match tour in France with a friendly against their French counterparts. They entered full of confidence having won three and drawn one game against club opponents. But last week's game turned out to be a cold shower. Rwanda's coach, Frenchman Richard Tardy, thought the 5-0 drubbing would bring much-needed lessons to his side.
