French Ligue to observe minute's silence for Brazil plane crash

French football teams and fans will observe a minute of silence in homage to victims of Monday night's crash of the plane carrying members of Brazilian club Chapecoense, the French Ligue announced on Tuesday.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) expressed its condolences to families of the victims of the accident, which killed 75 people when the plane crashed in the Colombian mountains near Medellin.
"As a sign of homage and solidarity with the Brazilian club, the LFP has decided to observe a minute's silence on the grounds before kick-off of the matches on the 15th day of Ligue 1 and the 17th day of Ligue 2," the organisation announced on its website.
The matches take place on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
Six people survived the crash, according to officials.Brazil observed a day of national mourning on Tuesday.
